Sign and Sing Task

Makaton and sign langauge (BSL) can help childrne and adults with communication difficulties to express themselves. I think we have all seen Mr Tumble and his 'Something Special' programmes and have witnessed how much fun all children get from joining in with songs and actions.

Singing has lots of benefits to your physical and emotional self. It can:

  • strengthen your immune system
  • it is  a workout for the lungs
  • it improves your posture
  • it can help you sleep
  • it can lift your mood and raise your spirits
  • it can lower stress
  • it improves mental alertness
  • it can boost confidence
  • it improves memory
  • it can broaden communication skills
