Tuesday 31st March 2020

Good afternoon Year 6! We hope you are well and feeling grateful for lots of little things :) Here's a thought...

Instead of feeling grumpy that you have to stay at home, remember how lucky you are to have a home. Instead of being annoyed at being told to wash your hands all of the time, feel grateful that you have access to water.

After having a moment to think about how lucky we are for the little things, this afternoon we would like you to spend some time on TT Rockstars, Spelling Shed and to do your vocabulary/ visual skills on Reading Plus (Miss Owen and Miss Hesketh are checking who has been logging in each day!) You all have been given your log in within your pack. If you didn't get your pack, they are still in school so maybe take your daily walk to pick it up!

Don't forget to tune in to today's chapter of our Audiobook! We are up to Chapter 6...

Next we have Spanish!

LI: To revise the body parts in Spanish

Task 1:

Warm up your brain with this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdDu8pFbnRc

Note down each of the phrases used in the video and their translation to English.

BONUS POINT: If your home language isn't English or Spanish, could you also translate to your language?

E.g.

Buenas tardes

Good afternoon

طاب مسائك

Task 2:

For the second part of your Spanish activity, you can choose one the following options:

Option 1: Draw a quick sketch of yourself and label each body part, in Spanish.

Option 2: Rewrite the lyrics to Heads, shoulders, knees and toes, in Spanish, and then perform this to your family!

Heads, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes,

Heads, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes,

Eyes and ears and mouth and nose,

Heads shoulders, knees and toes.

Whichever option you choose to do, you can use this video to help with your vocabulary:
