Supertato Veggies Assembled -

Reading Mastery 5

Re-read the book.

Today we are going to focus on the differences between fruit and vegetables.

This is because the tomato in the book tells everyone that he is not a vegetable he is a fruit!

A fruit is seed bearing developing from flowering plants

A banana doesn't look like it has seeds however they have been commercially grown for so long the seeds are now tiny specs.

A vegetable are other plant parts such as roots, leaves and stems.

Can you find any fruit or vegetables in your house if you can, can you sort them?

If you haven't got any can you draw two plates one full of vegetables and one full of fruit.

What is you favourite fruit and vegetable?
