Five Currant Buns In A Baker's Shop

Today we are counting backwards from 5! Can you use your fingers to help you take away a currant bun when the little boy buys on with a penny?

Task of the Day

Picture 1

For todays task we are setting up a shop!
Step 1 - Collect your items! You will need some pencils and paper, some of your toys, food and objects around the house.

Step 2 - Think of what you want your shop to be called and make a sign for it.

Step 3 - Lay out your items where you want them and have a think about how much you want them to be.

Step 4 - Write the prices for your items, thinking about how to write your numbers.
Step 5 - Grab your pennies, a basket, a shopping bag and happy shopping!

Please make sure you email nursery@kensingtonprimary.co.uk or tweet us @kensingprimary #homelearning. I cant wait to see what your shops look like!

A Squash and a Squeeze By Julia Donaldson & Illustrated by Axel Scheffler

In todays story the little old ladies house is too small for her and all of the animals she lives with.

Can you count how many different animals she shares her house with in the story?

Can you have a think about what your favourite animal is?
Which animal would you like to have as a pet and why?
Can you drawer a picture of your favourite animal? Can you have a go at writing your name on it?
