Friday means Art and PE!

Art

This afternoon in Art, we would like you to take your time to sit and carefully sketch whatever you can see from a window in your house.

Remember, looking at the shapes of things bit by bit helps you to be more realistic than trying to draw what you think it should look like.

You could also use your fingers and your knowledge of ratio to see how big some things are compared to other things (if you close one eye it helps you to focus).

For example, if I close one eye the house I can see up the road is about eight fingers big and the windows are two fingers. So the house: window is 8:2 (simplified to 4:1). I then know that when I draw the shape of the whole house, the window will be 1/4 of the size.

Here are some lovely examples with lots of detail; you could even add some colour or shading.
