School Meals

The cost of the school meal is now £2.20 per day and £11 per week. Please make sure you pay your dinner money to the class teacher on a Monday each week.

Since September 2014 there will be two free school meal schemes – universal infant free school meals (Reception, year 1 and year 2) and income related free school meals.

Free School Meals

From September 2026 parents must reapply for FSM.  There are two types of benefits-based free school meals:

Expanded free school meals are a new type of support for children in families receiving any amount of Universal Credit.

Targeted free school meals are for children in families receiving Universal Credit with annual earnings of £7400 or less or another qualifying benefit.

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit

  • Child Tax Credit (if not receiving Working Tax Credit)

  • Working Tax Credit run-on

Expanded FSM entitles your child to a free school meal and Targeted FSM entitles your child to a free school meal and also additional Pupil Premium funding for school.

The Citizen Portal can be accessed from the Liverpool City Council Website by clicking the link below:

Before making an application, users must have an account set up. In most cases the parent/carer of a child will already have a Citizen Portal account as this will have been used to register children for admissions.
