Year 6

Year 6 will further develop map reading skills, locating the worlds countries, key physical and human characteristics of different countries and major cities. In Autumn term children will investigate where the best chocolate is made, focusing on fair trade, climate, exporting and how it impacts on farmers. Spring term sees year 6 studying what life would be like in a 3rd world country, investigating similarities and differences between a village in India and UK. In their final term, year 6 will be given the chance to become a travel advisor with their topic, Passport around the world.
