In History, Year 6 will be looking at how changes in technology, music and cinema impact on the 20th Century. They will discover how mobile phones and other technologies had a profound effect on the century. They will be looking at different dance crazes throughout the century and taking part in a workshop to learn some of them. They will also have the opportunity to travel back in time to a 1930's cinema and experience what it would have been like. An enjoyable topic to come!
In the Spring Term, the children will have the opportunity to study an aspect of Victorian life - Crime and Punishment. They will look at the crimes, sentences handed out, conditions and punishments in prison. To support this work they will visit St. George's Hall in Liverpool, to look at the cells and courts from Victorian times.
